Miranda Lee, Shanghai born, has had a love for singing and performing influenced by both her mother and father who were both masters of their art in Beijing Opera. Miranda was determined to be an inspirational artist who is full of passion and a strong aspiration to influence others around her. Starting at an early age of three, Miranda first participated and was introduced to The Shanghai TV Performance Class by her parents which started her long career. At the age of five, Miranda was invited to perform for the Shanghai Hu Opera Troupe which led to further vocal training whilst she was studying in secondary school.
As Miranda’s confidence grew, she participated in local competitions creating a following of local supporters and achievements. In the year 2000, Miranda had officially started performing professionally in Shanghai for numerous hotels, bars and private events within the city, whilst becoming a familiar face and artist other musicians wanted to perform with.
A unique and new concept, combining Salsa with well known and loved Chinese songs. As the lead singer, Miranda and the Mandarina China Band, toured South America and China showcasing their first unique concept both live on stage and local TV stations. A natural performer, Miranda has the ability to mesmerise her audience with each song sang with feeling, emotion and love. Quoted in Shanghai Daily as an artist “Born To Sing” her rich and mature vocals will allow you to join the journey with her on each song.
In 2009, Miranda moved to London with her husband to start a family where they lived. Till late 2016, deciding to returning to Hong Kong. Miranda decided to continue her singing career and began to teach. Mirandalee’s Studio was founded in 2019 where she is regarded as integral part of her organisation, sharing her skills and knowledge with her students. Miranda participated in “Midlife, Sing & Shine!” (TVB) singing competition since October 2022, and was the runner up finalist of the competition.
